Elegant and timeless: black vases

The designer vases from ICONIC HOME add elegant sophistication to interior design. Anyone who opts for this vase is opting for stylish decoration: a black vase is a real classic. And not without reason, because black vases enhance any room without being obtrusive. A black vase on the table at a candlelit dinner is, so to speak, the counterpart to the little black dress - the famous classic among cocktail dresses. Of course, black always works.

Designer vases from the 3D printer

The materials from which vases are made usually range from ceramic to glass and metal. The matt black vases from ICONIC HOME are made from a different material: they are made from bio-based plastic based on natural materials. The 3D printing manufacturing process results in a wide range of styles and textures for the vases.
The black vases have a subtle matt finish that creates an elegant appearance. They are also shatterproof and lightweight. This is a particular advantage for large vases.

Various shapes

A perfect vase is not just a flower pot, but also a decorative object. This also applies to the models from the ICONIC HOME range - whether in black or another color. They can be used as designer vases with or without flowers to create unusual accents.
The shapes of the vases vary from slim and cylindrical to bulbous geometric designs. All designer vases are available in 9 colors, one of which is "Deep Black" - a deep, velvety black. Each black vase can make an impressive table decoration individually or as a set of black vases in different sizes and shapes, or serve as an eye-catcher on a mantelpiece or shelf.
The larger models can also be used as black floor vases in the entrance area or living room to attract attention.

Combining vases and flowers

The black color of the vases creates a fascinating contrast to various flower arrangements. They provide the perfect basis for presenting either eye-catching or subtle flower arrangements. The contrast between the dark vase and the vibrant colors of the flowers creates a fascinating visual effect.
Whether it is fresh cut flowers in vibrant colors or delicate dried flowers in paler natural tones, the black vase effectively highlights its contents through the resulting contrast of light and dark or colorful and black.
Black decorative vases can thus serve as a base for many types of flowers and colors due to their neutral basic tone.

The effect of the color black

Black is considered a deep, mysterious color. Its meaning can vary depending on context, culture and personal experience.
When it comes to decoration and design, black is often associated with elegance. Clothing, accessories or decorations in black can convey a sophisticated atmosphere. Black is also often used in modern design and minimalist concepts. The clean lines and contrast can create a contemporary and sleek look. Black absorbs light, and this is sometimes interpreted metaphorically for plunging into the unknown or the unexplored.
In some contexts, black can also be interpreted as a sign of rebellion or non-conformity. Black clothing has been worn by subcultures in different times and cultures as an expression of individuality and resistance. Conversely, in many formal and business environments, black is seen as a symbolic color of authority and seriousness.
So whether a black vase is a minimalist decoration or a decorative sign of rebellion in the home is up to you.

Combine black vases with other colors

Black vases can be creatively combined with other vases and other decorative objects. The decoration can be particularly effective if different colors are integrated into the overall arrangement. Here, however, it is important not to decorate wildly and too colorfully, but to arrange the colors involved in a suitable and harmonious way.
Suitable colors are white, gold, gray, wood tones/natural tones. A classic combination is the "black and white" variant. The combination of black and gold is elegant and stylish. However, the most popular combinations at the moment are black decorative objects or black vases with other elements in wood or natural tones such as beige or wool white. For example, black vases from the ICONIC HOME range can be perfectly combined with vases in light natural tones.
This natural color combination is not only a good tip for the individual vases, but also for the interplay of black vases with the general aesthetics of the room. For a stylish look, the contrasting black vases can be used particularly well in rooms with neutral, natural color palettes and modern wooden furniture. The contrast between the deep black of the vase and lighter backgrounds or furniture creates an appealing and harmonious atmosphere.
If you prefer something a little more unusual, you can also use red, blue, ochre-yellow or colorful pastel shades to combine with black vases. In any case, it is important to consider your personal preferences, the style of the room (e.g. living room, bedroom, hallway...) and the desired mood in order to choose the best color combination for the black decoration. Experiment with different shades and textures to achieve the desired effect.

Various rooms

Depending on the interior design style and personal taste, black vases are of course suitable for any room. Depending on the size of the vases and, of course, the available space and furniture, there are various places in the home and the respective room where the vases can find a decorative place.

For example, as a table decoration: one or more black vases can be used as table decorations. These can serve as a centerpiece on a dining table, coffee table or side table.

Black vases are also popular as shelf and mantelpiece decorations: the different sizes and shapes of the vases can form an interesting composition and create a stylish eye-catcher at the same time.

Vases with a special shape act as solitary art objects: Particularly artistically designed black vases can be used as art objects in their own right. These can be placed on a sideboard or console to create an artistic accent in the room.

Matching the furnishing style: In modern, minimalist rooms, black vases can serve as discreet but effective elements. They can be placed strategically to draw attention to certain areas. Here, the vase can also be highlighted with a spotlight.

Black designer vases welcome guests in the entrance area: create an inviting atmosphere in the hallway and entrance area by placing black vases on consoles or side tables or as floor vases. They can also be combined with other decorative elements such as candles, sculptures or picture frames.

You can also think about bathroom decoration: black vases make stylish accents in the bathroom. Whether on the washbasin or on a shelf, a black vase with dried flowers can be used creatively to add a luxurious touch.

Change of seasons

Black vases are also a great way to decorate the style of a room to match the changing seasons. In spring and summer, bright grasses or dried flowers can be used, and cut flowers with colorful blossoms (e.g. daffodils, lilacs, hyacinths, ranunculus...) are also eye-catching in black vases. In autumn and winter, dry branches or even fir branches, thistles or branches with berries can also create a cozy atmosphere. The black vases contrast particularly well with the dark green fir branches.

The black vase as a cultural classic

Incidentally, black vases have not only been around as striking decorative objects since yesterday. This is proven by a painting with an astonishing history. The oil painting is called "Sleeping Lady with Black Vase" and was painted between 1926 and 1928 by the Hungarian painter Róbert Berény. The picture shows a woman - the painter's wife - who has fallen asleep on a bench and is slumbering peacefully. So far, so unspectacular. There is a large black vase on the table in the foreground to the left of the picture. It is probably one of the most famous black vases in art history and also has a place in film history. The painting was thought to have been lost after the Second World War and only reappeared in the 1990s under curious circumstances. A production designer from Sony Pictures bought it in a second-hand bookshop because she liked it and used it as a set for several series and films. It also appeared on the wall in the film "Stuart Little" (1999), where it could be seen in many scenes. Another ten years later, a Hungarian art historian discovered the painting in the film while watching it with his daughter. He therefore set out in search of it, which again took several years until he was finally able to make contact with the production designer in question, who in the meantime used the painting for her private apartment. The painting was subsequently sold at an art auction for a six-figure sum and is now considered the most famous Hungarian painting. And probably also the painting with the most famous black vase.

If you want to own your very own black vase and recreate the scene of the painting at home, a black vase from ICONIC HOME is the perfect choice.
