ICONIC HOME is the winner of the German Design Award 2025
The vases from ICONIC HOME have impressed with their special design and are therefore among the winners of the German Design Award 2025.

Since 2011, the German Design Award has been one of the most prestigious German design prizes. Innovative products and projects as well as manufacturers and designers from the German and international
design industry are nominated and honored annually by the German Design Council. The respective awards are presented in three main categories: Architecture, Communications Design and Product Design.
Presentation of the German Design Award 2025
As every year, the 2025 award winners received an invitation to the exclusive German Design Award show in Frankfurt - a special event that recognizes the success of their projects and provides a platform for exchange with renowned design personalities and jury members from around the world.
The award ceremony for the German Design Award 2025 took place on February 7, 2025 as part of the Ambiente trade fair at the exhibition grounds in Frankfurt am Main.
The event was accompanied by inspiring talks and guided tours that stimulated dialog on current design topics. Trend topics from the award-winning projects took center stage, and winners from various industries were able to share their experiences.
ICONIC HOME - Winner of the German Design Award 2025
The design vases from ICONIC HOME were honored with the German Design Award 2025 in the category "Excellent Product Design - Home Textiles and Home Accessories". The five-piece vase collection is elaborately manufactured in the company's own design manufactory in Germany using a 3D printing process from bio-based PLA. The special look of the individual vases convinced the jury. Under the motto "Light and shadow rethought" the vases from ICONIC HOME represent objects with an extraordinary depth effect. Depending on the incidence of light, they always become a new eye-catcher from every angle.
The design of the vases, which is realized using 3D printing technology, creatively develops the idea of the classic, smooth vase. Vases have a long history as vessels and decorative objects, dating back to ancient times. The shapes of the vases from ICONIC HOME are deliberately kept just as timeless. This requirement was important in the design process to ensure that the vases find a place in interior design in the long term, regardless of trends. Classic shapes of bottle vases or ball vases served as inspiration. In addition, each of the five vase models has its own individual look thanks to the 3D printof the high-low structure. All models now combine a timeless, purist design with a striking interplay of light and shadow that blends perfectly into any interior style.
Reasoning of the jury of the German Design Council:
The vase collection impresses with its ability to transform light and shadow into a dynamic interaction. The use of bio-based PLA in 3D printing demonstrates a pioneering understanding of sustainable materials. Each of the five vases in the "ICONIC HOME Vases" can be rediscovered from different perspectives, offering an engaging visual experience.
Sustainability as a concern
One of the biggest concerns was to pay attention to the ecological balance, even on a small scale. The on-demand production of 3D-printed vases has proven to be a sensible method, as it reduces waste by always using the exact amount of material required for each vase and also eliminates the need to produce large quantities of stock items.
Compared to firing ceramics or glass, less energy is also required, with ICONIC HOME 100% green electricity from the company's own solar panels.
The use of sustainable materials such as PLA further improves the environmental friendliness of the vases and makes them a good choice compared to conventional plastic products.
PLA is also known as "bioplastic" as it is made from plant-based resources such as corn starch or sugar cane. Plastic is also not used for packaging and shipping.

The vases from ICONIC HOME have been available to purchase via the brand's online store ICONIC HOME since the end of 2023.
The design objects can now also be found in selected furniture stores and concept stores throughout Europe. The vase collection is presented to customers in person in collaboration with stores whose orientation matches the sustainable and creative concept of ICONIC HOME .
